With summer approaching, now is the time to call us here at Kew Forest Plumbing to fulfill your boiler and backflow prevention inspection requirements.
Not sure if you need to test your boiler?
If you own a commercial, mixed use, or six (6) family or greater building containing a boiler, regardless of BTU, then you are required to file an annual boiler inspection with the Department of Buildings. You are required to file annually with the Department of Buildings if your property has a boiler operating 350,000 Btu or above, regardless of building use or occupancy.
Not sure if you need to test your backflow preventer?
Backflow prevention devices are an important component of the New York City Department of Environmental Protection’s drinking water protection program and are legally mandated under the New York State Sanitary Code and the Rules of the City of New York for those businesses identified as posing a risk to the public water supply. You must schedule testing with a certified tester at least once a calendar year and file appropriate forms with DEP.
Kew-Forest Plumbing & Heating is the professional contractor that can be your answer to complying with these regulations and code requirements. We can handle the backflow preventer & boiler installations from the design process, through the NYC agency approvals and right up to the installation and testing process. We make the job easy and affordable. Contact us at (718) 456-0800 for an estimate today!
