Solar paneled energy is the future of economical and green energy solutions. As we’ve mentioned before, the FDNY has used us here at Kew Forest Plumbing for numerous of their oil to gas conversions and this time around they needed an energy efficient solution for 3 more of their locations. With the assistance of our excellent staff and our proficient plumbers, we facilitated the FDNY in becoming the first city agency to utilize solar paneled powering.
Our initial solar installation began in 2008, in the Bronx, with EMS Battalion 19 which was the first FDNY building to have solar energy. We provided them with a hot water solar heating system. This was followed by the creation of two more systems at FDNY home bases in Queens, Engine Company 298 and Engine Company 320 whose pictures can be seen above. The betterment provided by these systems are boundless and are sure to administer plenty of great benefits for years to come.
